Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Innovation Strategist to lead the development of transformative innovation strategies for large organizations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing and building corporate innovation labs and a deep understanding of the full innovation lifecycle. This role is for a Canadian resident who is willing to travel as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Lab Design: Develop and implement a comprehensive innovation strategy and design operating models for innovation labs or hubs tailored to specific organizational needs.
- Governance & Process: Establish robust governance models to manage innovation portfolios and embed best-in-class design methodologies, such as design thinking and agile, into corporate culture.
- Change Management: Lead change management efforts to integrate new processes and foster a sustainable culture of innovation.
- Capacity Building: Design and deliver capacity-building programs to train employees and leaders in innovation practices.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in a strategic innovation role, with a focus on large organizations.
- Canadian residency with a willingness to travel for project-based work.
- Extensive experience working with the public or financial sectors.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute comprehensive innovation strategies.
- Proven track record in building governance models and designing innovation labs operating models.
- Expertise in design thinking, agile, change management, and capacity building.
- Certification: Having certifications in innovation from recognized organizations is considered a strong asset.
This role is for a strategic leader who can navigate complex organizational structures and translate innovative ideas into tangible, impactful results.
